Corporate Solutions partners with ADC to save more than $2 million since 2004 

United Properties' Corporate Solutions group has partnered with ADC Telecommunications for several years, starting with a project to manage monthly rent and sub-tenant payments.  Through the years, the Corporate Solutions team was given the opportunity to expand their services from Contract Management to Transaction Management.  Working in conjunction with the ADC Corporate Real Estate team, they implemented streamlined processes and joined forces to save over $2 million since 2004.

Sustainability not only improves a company's bottom line, it is just good business sense.

While corporate sustainability is not a new concept, a growing number of companies around the world are recognizing it as a profitable and socially responsible business approach.

For example, in a PricewaterhouseCoopers survey of 1,000 CEOs from 43 countries, approximately 79 percent said they believe that sustainability is vital to any company's profitability. In 2006, 39 of the Fortune 100 companies issued Sustainability Reports. In addition, Net Impact - an association of businesspeople concerned with social and environmental business issues -- has witnessed its membership quadruple in the past decade. Benjamin Klasky, Net Impact's executive director, says sustainability is not just embraced by the tree-huggers anymore; "it's more mainstream."

Love of real estate was inherited
For Mark Houge, the question "What do you want to do when you grow up?" was always easy to answer.  At a young age, this son of homebuilder parents realized that real estate was also his calling.  Today he has more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience in a variety of areas including development, construction, manufacturing design and owner representation.
